ideo/Premiere - Singersroom.comFresh off Def Jam's spring collection bash, Amerie is close to unveiling the lead video/single from this summer's "In Love & War" album !
A video for the single, titled "Why R U," has been shot by noted director Ray Kay (The-Dream, Lady Gaga) with a June 8 release date on BET.
"Why R U" is Amerie's first video to be released since signing with Def Jam in 2008.
In related news, Teddy Riley, Sean Garrett, Eric Hudson, Jim Jonsin, Rico love and The Buchanans have been confirmed as producers who have credits on Amerie's Def Jam debut.
Amerie's "In Love & War" is due in stores this August.

I hope that album will be fire because she always crafts good albums. I like her sound so much because she seems to be heavily influenced by the sound of INTRO/the late Kenny G-Love Greene.
